Romeo Montague
Adrian Chevalier (He/Him)
Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Adrian is a Toronto-based actor, writer, and creator. He is a graduate of the UofT/Sheridan Joint Theatre and Drama Studies Program. Before pursuing his undergrad in theatre, Adrian was a member of Regina's Globe Theatre School Youth Company for three seasons. As an artist, he is particularly interested in exploring devised creation, feelings of nostalgia, and modernizing classical text. As a full-time human; he is seriously interested in making good coffee, pairing playlists with the weather, and finding out who stole the remote. Seriously, have you seen it? I want to watch my shows. He is absolutely thrilled to be playing Romeo for his first full-length Shakespeare show and Sunbeam Theatre CO.'s inaugural production!
Juliet Capulet
Lucy Ellis (she/her)
Lucy Ellis is an actress and singer/songwriter currently based in Toronto. Alongside being a recent graduate of George Brown Theatre School, Lucy has studied contemporary and classical text at Stratford and Shaw, and has trained internationally at RADA and LAMDA in England. Along with acting, she has a lifelong passion for music - in her spare time, she runs a YouTube channel for her singing which has 100k subscribers, and plays some live shows around Toronto. She is thrilled to play Juliet in this production, and dive headfirst into the terrifying power of love.

Carling Tedesco (She/Her)
Several months after writing “I want to do a Shakespeare and something that deals with religion” in a journal, Carling is thrilled to learn that manifestation works! Recent credits include The Fighting Days (Village Players), Jake’s Women (Scarborough Theatre Guild) and 42nd Street (EMP). She has performed with Burl-Oak Theatre Group, The Hive Performing Arts, NAGs Players, and Knockout Theatre. Carling is also a director (most recently, Little Women with Playhouse Collective) and a Randolph College and McGill University graduate.

Avery MacDonald (she/her)
A graduate of the University of Windsor's BFA in Acting program, Avery is so thrilled to be working with such a talent group of artists, and is so excited to be taking on the role of the Nurse! Previously: Francis Beynon, The Fighting Days (The Village Players); Mrs. Borridge, The Cassilis Engagement (University Players).

Lucas Blakely (he/him)
Lucas is a graduate of the Theatre & Drama Studies Program at the University of Toronto, joint with Sheridan College. On stage he’s played Charles in Blithe Spirit, Ferapont in Three Sisters, and Sebastian in Twelfth Night (Theatre Erindale) among others. Most recently, he played Spike in Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike at Alumnae Theatre.

Madeline Storms (she/they)
Madeleine Storms (she/they) is a multidisciplinary actor and artist residing in Tkaronto. Recent credits include This Earth of Majesty (Dauntless City Theatre) and A Spectators’ Odyssey - o dell’Inferno (DopoLavoro Teatrale). As a lifelong mover, shaker, and dance creator, Storms seeks to investigate and curate authentic and specific movement language in all her theatrical endeavours. @madeleinestorms on Instagram.

Matthew Lazaris-Brunner (he/him)
Matthew Lazaris-Brunner is thrilled to be a part of Sunbeam Theatre Company's production of Romeo and Juliet. He is an emerging artist and alumnus of the Hamilton Fringe ALERT program. Matthew attended the Marylin I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts at Brock University, where he earned a BA in Dramatic arts. During his time there, he had the opportunity to train in collaboration with the Shaw Festival and the Stratford Shakespeare Academy. He has also earned an Advanced Actor Combatant certification from the Academy of Dramatic Combat. Previous credits include: Midsummer Night: A Dream (Totering Biped Theatre) The Lady Vanishes and The Watsons (Theatre Bacchus), Martians and Martinis (Chasing Shadows Productions), Pride and Prejudice (Village Theatre Waterdown), Gormenghast and Finger Food (Marylin I. Walker Theatre), and The Dream (Shadowpath Theatre).

Josephine Herbut (she/her)
Josephine is a recent graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts here in Toronto. Originally from Edmonton, AB Josephine plans to continue pursuing a career in both theatre and film, and has hopes to one day work on a cruise ship, grace a stage on the West End, and continue travelling the world. Some of her previous credits include Songs for a New World, Concord Floral, Singin’ in the Rain, Fiddler on the Roof, and Into the Woods. Josephine is overjoyed at the opportunity to perform alongside the rest of this amazing cast and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Hadley Abrams (They/Them)
Hadley is a graduate of the Drama program at Queen's university and has been in the Toronto film and theatre community since 2018. They recently played Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice and are enjoying collecting Shakespearean Italian himbos like Pokemon. Apart from performing, they are passionate about queer, trans, and neurodiverse visibility; Star Wars, My Chemical Romance, and Harry Styles. Previous credits include Maude in Sunrises for Darling, Zoe in Ace AF, Jean in August: Osage County, and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.

Madi Morelli (She/Her)
Madi Morelli is a queer woman based out of Toronto who is currently unrepresented and unbothered. She has plans to publish a play, sing outside, and perform a Greek tragedy, ideally in the next year. She is at this very moment crazy in love, redecorating, and singing something by Florence and the Machine. She’d like to thank her partner Kieran and her best friends for all their support throughout the process of Romeo and Juliet.

Jack Copland (He/Him)
Jack is Rome(s)o excited to be working with Sunbeam and this team of artists! A Toronto-based actor, his past credits include voice over work (Total Drama Island), repertory theatre (Theatre on the Ridge), network television (Murdoch Mysteries), and independent films (Pink Rabbit). Jack also writes and produces for the screen, and volunteers with Sprint Senior Care in Toronto. Graduate of the Ivey School of Business and the George Brown Theatre School.

Alex Jodi Verge (She/They)
Alex Verge is a performer originally from British Columbia, who in 2021 decided to make the leap to Toronto. While they spend most of their time in the Musical Theatre world, they adore straight plays–especially Shakespeare. Their favourite credits include Cristine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years, and Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She studied at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in the middle of getting an English degree, and is excited to be putting her undergrad to work on this exciting text.

Blake Pyne (He/Him)
Blake Pyne is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on acting, singing, and musical theatre performance from Cultus Lake, B.C. who just is a Randolph College Alumni and recent graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. Upon graduating he played Caliban in The Tempest by William Shakespeare at Perchance Theatre in St.Johns Newfoundland. He is very excited for the opportunity to continue performing Shakespeare in Toronto where he is based! Enjoy the show!
